I Am Grateful...

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, we are writing about people we are grateful for...

Isaac~ I am thankful for my uncle playing baseball with me.  He taught me how to do a handstand.  I am thankful for my uncle watching movies with me.  I am thankful for my uncle making legos with me.  I am thankful for my dad for playing catch with me and for teaching me how to be a good catcher.  I am thankful for my dad letting me hang out with my friends.  I am thankful for my mom teaching me how to cook.  I am thankful for my mom teaching me how to draw.  She also plays board games with me.  Our favorite one is Battle Ship.  I am also thankful for my grandpa and his stories about when he was in the war.  I am thankful for my grandpa letting me use his remote control submarines.  I am thankful for my Uncle Ben for showing me some fireworks and letting me use his airsoft guns.

Sayler~ I am thankful for my dad because he works really hard for my family.  Sometimes when he comes home he brings something cool, like a really old radio, because he is a contractor and finds things at his work sites.  Every time he comes home he has a big smile on his face.  Because he is a contractor he has lots of tools and he lets me play with them.  We also go sledding and snowboarding.

Taelynn~  I am grateful for my friend, Milan, because she is always beside me to catch me when I fall, to play with me, to sit with me at lunch, and to just be my friend.  I am also thankful for my dance teacher, Aisha.  I am thankful for her because she teaches me how to dance, and I love to dance.  I am thankful for my mom.  She cooks food for me, watches over me, takes care of my little sister, always compliments me, and loves me so, so much.

Joe~ I am grateful for my dad.  He likes to play games with me, and he makes the money that pays for our food, is nice to me, and he is really, really fun and funny.  He also likes doing things with me, such as:  going rafting, going on a rollercoaster without vomiting, liking playing video games with me, and he likes skiing with me.  That is why I am thankful for my dad.

Kaila~ I am grateful for my friend, Kayla, because she is always there for me, she has my back and she brings out the creativity in me.  Also, she is promising and trustworthy.  I believe our friendship is built on that.  I am also thankful for my mom.  She is very kind to me, and soft hearted.  She is really loving.  She is always there when I need her, and when I need a shoulder to cry on she is there for me.

Peach~  I am grateful for my mom.  She gives me a home, food, and hugs!  She makes some of the money in our family, so she is able to pay for a lot of things that I need.  I am also thankful for my dad.  He plays with me a lot, and he works really hard to provide for our family.

Allie~  I am thankful for my dad, because he works hard to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, water to drink, and warmth.  When ever he comes home, which is usually around dinner time, me and my sister always run up to him and give him a big hug, because that is our way to thank him for all of his hard work.  When he gets a day off, he always uses that time to have fun with me, my sister and my mom.  My dad also helps me out.  He is always there when I am frustrated with my homework or when I need help carrying something.  I know he will do anything to help hold our family together.  He also saves up for some of our trips, because we usually hope to go to the east coast to see my relatives or to save up for a family trip.  I remember the day we got tickets to New York...he said that we were going somewhere special this summer.  I am sure that I did eight laps around the house because I was so excited.  My dad rocks!

Milan~  I am thankful for my Uncle Bill, because when the Olympic track and field trials were in Eugene, he called my mom and asked her if Alexa and I would go to it with him.  It took a long time for my mom to answer but she said yes!  We had a great time.  I am also thankful for my Uncle Matt, because when he got ill he didn't give up.  He just slept in my grandpa's chair, and slept, slept, slept. When he passed away, at age 63, because of lung cancer, I was really sad.  :o(  That last time I saw him was on my birthday during the Superbowl 2011.  He would always take care of me when I hurt myself and he helped to teach me how to make lemonade.

Taelynn's Mom, Summer~  I am thankful for my beautiful daughters, Taelynn and Edahlia.  They are constantly a reminder about how amazing life's blessings can be.  Their laughter, heart's of gold, and vibrant personalities never cease to surprise me.  I love watching them grow and learn, and am so thankful to be their mama.  I am also thankful for my incredibly loving husband.  He is my best friend, my rock, and my better half.  His constant love for his daughters, affection for me, kindness and strength make me fall more and more in love with him every single day.  He works hard to provide for our family and it allows me the opportunity to stay home and give my girls my complete commitment to being there for them in all aspects of life, and I am forever grateful for that.  Many, many people to be grateful for this year...we are all very blessed, indeed.
